ECO-POETRY CONTEST GUIDELINES:
Specific information/requirements:
•The poems will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
1.Narrative description
2.Ecology/nature value
3.Educational value
4.Artistic value
5.Submission fee $25.00 CA
•Poems 50 lines max, (A haiku is fine; a 50-page epic is not).
•All submitted poems must have titles. If you do not have one, or if a title is used by more than one person, the first line of the poem will be the title.
•No limits to number of poem submissions.
•Cover letter must have your name, address, phone number, email, poem titles and word count.
•All submitted poems must have ecological/nature values, and all formats will compete together for the same award.
•The best poems will be displayed and the winning and honorable mention poems will be published in POEMATA and online.
•The Eco-Poetry Contest 2009 submission (address below) must be sent via snailmail to River Bones Press (riverbones@live.com).

Donna is a passionate believer in the potential of poetry to make a difference, to inspire shifts in perception and create new patterns of thought and experience. To this end, she is committed to writing and promoting poetry with an ecological and/or environmental focus - ‘a poem is a living seed’.
Winners and HM's: will be published in the Canadian Poetry Association magazine POEMATA and online at Chocolate River Association and River Bones Press websites.
