We can provide an array of editors (this is something all new authors should consider). We choose who we publish. We accept manuscripts in French and English. We refer new authors to other small presses that are more tuned to their content. We believe in the written word. Blogs, newspapers, books etc are now in a new phase of development and creativity. The challenge now is to have a more intelligent, creative and reliable sources. A credible source of world information is needed...we must instate in our schools Media Classes, improved literacy, it is a privilege to understand issues, it is a privilege to implement informed decisions. It all begins with the written word. It all begins with you.
RBPress was established in 2005. We are the Official publisher for the Canadian Poetry Association and Chocolate River Festival.
River Bones Press is interested in publishing Peoples’ Poetry, poetry that brings local and global issues of humanity to the forefront. We're looking for unique writing that shares universal truth of the world we live in, the raw reality of life needs to be explored and written about.
Canada’s Peoples’ Poet is Milton Acorn and we at River Bones Press wish to continue publishing such work, this doesn't mean you can't send us your poem about pigs. Canada’s John B. Lee won several awards with his ‘pigs’. We have an open mind, a sense of humor so please consider us for publishing your first book.
We will be as excited as you, if we decide to feature your submission.
